Manuel Lopez

Events Director & Investor Coach

Manuel “Manny” Lopez joined Atlantis in 2021 as Events Director. He is also one of Atlantis’ Investor Coaches.

Manny earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez, PR, in 2000. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Project Management from the University of Phoenix. He earned a Project Management Certificate from Cornell University’s ILR School and a Business Analytics Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education program.

Manny brought to Atlantis over 20 years of experience in the leadership and management of operations centers while working for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the US.

He strengthened Atlantis’ focus on exceeding the expectations of the families we serve by bringing his experience in leading large technical teams focused on client experience.

Manny is married to his high school sweetheart, Yenitza Annette, and they have two children. After more than two decades residing in the mainland US, they embraced the challenge and opportunity to return to their birthplace, Puerto Rico, to better take care of their aging parents.

Manny’s true purpose in life is to love and bring something positive to every person he encounters. That’s why he has a passion for service to his community and has been a leader of several Hispanic community organizations in New Jersey and New York.

For the past 15 years, he has served as the Chairman of the Scholarship Golf Outing for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) – New York Chapter. Manny and the SHPE team have raised more than $400,000 that have funded scholarships for many college-bound Hispanic students, a group that has historically been underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related professions.

He is also a member of Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA), a New Jersey-based non-profit organization formed to engage the volunteerism of Hispanic professionals and eradicate one key reason why many Hispanic students do not pursue higher education: a lack of role models. He is a HISPA Role Model and gets to share his story and STEM background with middle school classrooms in New Jersey.

Manny’s hobbies range from enjoying time with his family and friends to traveling the world, watching sports, and exercising.
